Connecting a GoDaddy Domain to Your Kavyar Site

Justin Kramer Updated by Justin Kramer

Log into GoDaddy

In your browser, go to GoDaddy Domain Control Center and log in.

Go to your domain's DNS Settings

Under My Domains, click the domain you're connecting.

Scroll down to Additional Settings at the bottom of the page and click Manage DNS.

Remove GoDaddy default records

If your domain is new and you haven't used it for anything else yet, you will see default records that GoDaddy adds to "park" the domain.

We are going to remove the A and CNAME records and replace them with records that point to your Kavyar site.

If you do not see these records, you can skip ahead to "Add first A record" below.

For each A and CNAME record, click the Edit icon, then the Trash icon, then the Delete button to confirm.

Any NS and SOA records can be left as-is.

Add first A record

  1. Click the ADD button
  2. From the Type dropdown, select A
  3. In the Host field, enter "@"
  4. In the Points to field, enter "76.76.21.21"
  5. Click Save

Add CNAME record

  1. Click the ADD button
  2. From the Type dropdown, select CNAME
  3. In the Host field, enter "www"
  4. In the Points to field, enter "cname.vercel-dns.com"
  5. Click Save

Notify Kavyar Support

Tell the Kavyar support team that you finished adding all of the required records.

They will complete the setup for your domain and confirm that your new Kavyar site is live. Congratulations!
