Use your custom Kavyar email address

Your custom email address forwards incoming messages to the inbox you already use. It is not a separate mailbox. Kavyar will confirm your custom address and forwarding destination in your setup email.

Send from your custom address

Use a mail app that lets you add a sending identity or “send as” address with its own outgoing server. Set the From address and username to your full custom email address. Keep using your existing inbox for incoming mail.

Your setup email includes a secure 1Password link to the outgoing-mail password. Open it within seven days and verify the email address specified in that email. You do not need a 1Password account. Ask Kavyar for a fresh link if it expires.

Outgoing server settings

  • SMTP server: smtp.improvmx.com
  • Port: 587
  • Connection security: STARTTLS / TLS
  • Authentication: Password
  • Username: Your full custom email address
  • Password: The SMTP password in your secure link

Mail apps use different names for these settings. If yours cannot set a separate outgoing server, contact Kavyar with the app name and we will help you choose a setup that works.

Test your setup

To test receiving, send a message to your custom address from another account. To test sending, select your custom address in the From field, send to another inbox, and check the sender and reply address. When replying to forwarded mail, select the custom From address if your app does not choose it automatically.

If anything fails, tell Kavyar your mail app, the error, and the approximate time.
