How to delete a photo from your profile

Sean Morris Updated by Sean Morris

If you are the original poster and the image has not been used in a submission:

  1. Click on the photo you would like to delete.
  2. Click on the "X" next to your name, OR click "..." at the top right-hand corner and click "delete."
Deleting photos that you have uploaded will remove the photo from all other profiles that are credited on Kavyar.
Be mindful of the portfolio work you select and upload to Kavyar. There is no bulk edit feature. Photos must be deleted one by one.

If you are the original poster and the image has been used in a submission:

The image cannot be removed because it is part of the submission record. You can make the image private to remove it from your public Kavyar profile. See How do I make photos private?

If you are credited on the image, but not the original poster:

You cannot delete the image from all profiles on Kavyar, but you can remove your credit to remove the image from your profile. See How do I remove my credit from an image?

What happens after deleting a photo

While Kavyar deletes your images immediately, it can take several weeks for Google and other search engines to update their search indexes to reflect the change.

If you would like an image to be removed from Google more quickly, you can contact Google directly using the following link to request that they remove the search result. (See Step 2 at the link below.)
