Publisher Plans Are Changing – What You Need to Know
Updated
by Nate Sarr
Effective December 14, 2025, Kavyar publisher accounts will move to a paid-only model.
This change ensures fairness for publishers who invest in the community and allows us to keep building more professional opportunities for everyone.
Key Dates
- October 15, 2025 — Announcement of new policy.
- December 14, 2025 — Deadline to upgrade. After this date, free publisher accounts will no longer be able to accept new submissions.
What’s Changing
- Free publisher accounts will no longer be able to accept new submissions after December 14, 2025.
- Free publishers will still be able to manage any submissions already received.
- Current paid publishers keep their plan as long as their subscription remains active:
- Premium: $49/mo → keep $49 (equivalent to the new Premium $99 plan).
- Platinum: $199/mo → keep $199 (equivalent to the new Platinum $499 plan).
- Free publishers can lock in the $49/mo plan by upgrading before December 14, 2025.
- After December 14, new pricing will be: $99/mo, $499/mo, and starting at $2,400+/mo. for enterprise.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I don’t upgrade?
Your account will remain accessible, and you can manage any submissions already received. However, you won’t be able to accept new submissions after December 14, 2025 until you upgrade.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. But only upgrades made before December 14, 2025 qualify for the $49/mo plan (equivalent to the new $99). After that, available plans will be $99, $499, or $2,400+.
What if I’m already on a paid plan?
If you’re subscribed to the $49/mo or $199/mo plan, nothing changes — you’ll keep your current rate as long as you stay subscribed.
What happens if I cancel my plan?
If you cancel, you can still manage existing submissions, but you won’t be able to accept new ones until you re-subscribe at the new pricing ($99, $499, or $2,400+).
Why is Kavyar making this change?
To ensure fairness for paying publishers, support a more professional publishing environment, and keep growing visibility and opportunities for the entire community.
👉 Action Step:
If you’re on a free publisher account, upgrade before December 14, 2025 to secure the $49/mo plan.
